LASER MASTERS OPENING CEREMONY Tuesday, Sept 1 at 18:30 at the Clubhouse (rescheduled due to rain)

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) PIPE AND DRUM BAND will perform as they lead the dignitaries to the club. Following the opening remarks and welcome, competitors and non competitors are invited to dine at the club under the tent. The dinner is complimentary to registered competitors who will find their meal coupon included with their name tag package. Non-Competitors are welcome at the opening and the dinner and may to purchase a ticket at the Club upstairs in the Merchandise Shop or in the Tent at a cost of $15.00 per person. Ticket sales may be closed by mid day on Tuesday for the sake of the caterers so please purchase your tickets early. The meal includes CHICKEN CORDON BLEU or FILET OF SOLE with salads, rolls, tea and coffee.

MUSIC for the MASTERS AT THE CLUBHOUSE

The St. Margaret Sailing Club is holding an "Apres-Sail" from 5:30 to 8:30 in the evening beginning Sunday, August 30. Each night will feature live music and pub food. All are welcome - all competitors, their guests, club members, friends and the community. Why not come down and support the club and meet the athletes and their companions?

These free shows feature local talent and are sure to be a great way to end a day on the water or on land.

Sunday August 30 from 17:30 – 20:30: BEAL & BROWN. Jazz duo, piano, sax, flute, vocals - standards from the Great American Song Book 1920's to 1960's.

Monday August 31 from 17:30 - 20:30: MORGAN DAVIS TRIO. Morgan is a popular performer across Canada and internationally. For nearly four decades Morgan has been performing a mix of country blues and his own comtemporary songs infused with wit and a large dose of humour. Rounding out the trio are Brian Bourne on bass and Geoff Arsenault on drums.

Tuesday September 1 from 17:30 – 20:30: DAVE MAC ISSAC & LOUIS BENIOT. Highly acclaimed and talented violinist and guitar player duo perform the best of the east coast traditional music.

Wednesday September 2

From 16:30 – 18:30: ARIELLE LeGERE with J.P. ELLIS. Arielle is our own rising star and considered a local singing sensation. She is accompanied by her teacher and mentor and together they perform great jazz and show tunes.                                       

From 19:30 – 21:00: DANCE to “SCOTTFREE”. Four piece rock band playing top 40 & old time favorites for dancing.

Thursday September 3 from 17:30 – 20:30:
DAVE BURTON TRIO. Powerhouse, jazz - Latin - funk trio. The best instrumentalists in their field!!

Friday September 4 from 17:30 – 20:30:
THE LOVE SICK FOOLS. This talented group of musicians hail from far and wide and choose lovely St. Margaret’s Bay area as home. A high energy and loads of fun presentation of old rock and roll and blues; this is a great wind up to our week of music at the club.

CLOSING CEREMONY

Saturday September 4 at 20:00 at the CUNARD CENTRE in Halifax.

Competitors and guests are invited to the closing ceremony and prize giving on Saturday evening in beautiful downtown Halifax. Located on the Halifax waterfront adjacent to historic Pier 21 the Cunard Center will be our farewell venue. Dinner is included in the competitor’s package and guests may purchase tickets at the Clubhouse in the Merchandise loft at a cost of $40.00 per person. Ticket sales are available at the club until Wednesday September 2nd at 5:00 p.m., and seats are limited.
