After Hurricane Earl in September 2010, it was decided to revise the standard mooring design used in the SMSC mooring field. The new design, developed by the Waterfront Committee with input from many other members, will be eventually be used by all SMSC-owned moorings and moorings owned by members that are serviced by the club.
